DAY 13

A Picture of What You Wore Today

For starters I wore my new favorite shoes. SPERRYS! Old man shoes or not I think they are freaking cute.

I topped it off with my new boy shirt and my Mr. Rodgers red sweater.

So I guess I dressed like a man today.

DAY 12

Who Got You Into This Challenge:

I actually saw this on Kelsey Hall's blog. It looked fun so I decided to try it out. I haven't been the best at keeping up. I still plan on finishing the challenge though. It's kinda fun to just have random things to write about.

DAY 11

A Letter to Your Loved One

Dear Loved One,
I was looking at pictures of you the other day and they made me so happy. You make me so happy. You're such a good friend to me. I think it's incredible that you know practically everything about me and that I can confide in you for anything.
I really really miss you. I think about you every single day. I think about our memories and it gives me hope that I can survive the day without crying each time I think of you.
I'm really proud of you. More proud than I can say. You're special and unique.
You're one of the greatest friends I have ever had and I am so glad that you're in my life, even though you're miles and miles away.

I think of you always and wish you the very best,
Miss Ling Lang

DAY 10

The Differences Between You and You're Best Friend:

I was thinking that another best friend I have that I neglect to write about is my very own sister. Let's be honest she is my very very best friend. She's been by my side for as long as I can remember and I am positive she was even before I can remember too. The difference between me and her? Well she's incredible for one thing and everyone absolutely loves her. She has sunshine in her soul and everyone always wants to be around her. She is bubbly and popular. She has lots of friends, and they are all very special and close to her. She's beautiful. She's so smart. She's way good at math....something that will always be different about us. She's strong. She is so very talented at so many things. She cooks and can organize like nobody's business. She is patient and a good listener. She stays out of drama. She's intense. She's worried about everything all the time, but she will not settle for less than perfection because of it. She's spontaneous and always loves to have fun. The main difference between me and my sister is that she is a lot better than I am. Always has been and always will be. We share a lot of these qualities but like I said she exemplifies them in a much better way than I do. She's wonderful.

girls girls girls!

BLEH! Tonight was one of those nights that you look forward to because you get to be with that one cute boy that you really like....and then it is totally ruined by one person. Oh and of course it is a girl. She was one of those super touchy, super flirty just the typical girl that every other girl hates. I was just like, GURL! that is MY man! Luckily, the cute boy has eyes only for me. She still pissed me off the entire night. I could punch her. OK rant over.

DAY 9- Baby Marmar

So here is a really fantastic picture of me from my glory days. That's right. Complete with an overall jumper and thick headband. This was the phase when I was obsessed with growing my bangs out and cutting then every other year. Also take note of the shoes. The "Valentine Fairy" brought them for me. Oh and how can I for get the tall socks. LOVE IT!

DAY 8- The Perfect Date

I can't honestly say what my perfect date would be. It's going to happen. Well I know I will at least have one date that trumps all the other ones. My perfect date to date...haha that sounds kinda funny. Anyway the most perfect date that I went on up to this point in my life actually involves the perfect dater. His name is Nick Ashton. Every single date I went on with him was my perfect date. My two favorites were the zoo and the beach. The zoo involved razzles and lots of getting lost and a ride in the sky. We talked about all sorts of random things and it was just a really fun day. We ended by getting costco pizza :) The beach was an intense round of ultimate would you rather. I loved it. I cherish those memories and hope I have lots of more perfect dates just like these. Ones where you can get to know about every part of a person with no boundaries or insecurities. I loved that most. Way to go dater ;)

One "Major" Decision

So since this semester I have been loving my geology classes so much and it's making me feel kinda unsure about changing my major to Earth and Space Science Teaching. I am still going to do it because I know it is the right thing to do. I just hate second guessing myself. The more I learn in my geology classes each day, the more I am beginning to realize that my dream job is never going to happen. I am not sure that it would even happen if I still majored in geology....it's just more likely. Even the thought of not getting to go exploring outside and just learning each day about the beautiful creation I live on makes me want to cry! I am realizing that I am not going to live on a boat and explore the ocean that I want to learn about so bad! I am never going to become famous for my research on deep sea vents or any of that. Who knows though, maybe my passion will turn into teaching kids. I also know that it's really not at all practical to be a geology major because I would still have to go to grad school for marine science and by that time I know I will want a family a lot more. I know that being a wife and mother are going to be far more rewarding than any job I could ever have....but right now, watching explosions under the ocean seem a tad more fantastic.

Cute....but check this out:

That's right. That is freaking black smoke so hot it will burn your face off. Oh and no big deal it's just UNDER freaking water and it's freaking coming out of the earth!!! Freaking.

ice ice baby

Though I think that is the stupidest most unoriginal song of all time, I wanted to share my thoughts about this winter season. All I am going to be singing this whole semester is tis the season to fall over, faaaaaalllll a al al al. I don't remember it being this icy last year but that's probably because I didn't have to walk very far. Plus every where I walked was either shoveled or plowed. I only fell once last year and that was on campus. It was all Karen's fault. Well really it was the rain boots. But this is all beside the point.

So this year I have to walk much much farther to campus and hardly any of the sidewalks get shoveled. On my way home today I decided to take the shortcut that I normally take not thinking that it would be completely covered in ice. I was being very careful but I lost my footing and fell on my butt. No one was around so I wasn't embarrassed. I just hate the ice though. It takes like twice as long to walk to class. Stupid Utah. Stupid winter. STUPID ICE!
