I am blessed

It's probably annoying, to anyone who follows my blog, that I really only post when I go on a rant. These past couple of months have truly been life changing. It's probably stupid that I am just now realizing this, but marriage is a big freaking deal. I say that I have always known I would marry Rhett, and that I didn't have to think twice. This is a true fact. Rhett though, was always taking his time and it drove me crazy, because I just wanted him to KNOW! I am so grateful now that he took his time.

I've been engaged for a month now and it's so stressful preparing for the wedding and keeping up with school and being apart from Rhett during class or reviews or work. These are all stupid complaints, I do realize that. But today I was so grateful for my opportunity to wait to get married in the temple. To wait for eternity. To wait for what will be the happiest day of my life. I know I am constantly go go going and there is so little time to enjoy all the incredible blessings I have in my life.

The blessing that I am most grateful for recently is the chance to get married in the temple. Marriage in general really. In preparing for this next step in my life, I realize how huge of a deal it really is. I have seen marriages that are incredible, ones that I hope mine will be like. More recently though, I have seen marriages fall apart. As earth-shattering as this is to me and my loved ones, I know it'll be OK. I am just so grateful that I have the choice to make my marriage however I want. What a loving Father in Heaven we have, that he gives us the ability to choose.

I choose happiness. I always have and I know I always will. I am so grateful for a Heavenly Father who is aware of me. I am grateful that he has laid out a plan for me. I am grateful that he wants me to return to him. I am grateful that he loves everyone I love. I am grateful that he knows them just as well as I know he knows me. I am grateful for the chance to have an eternal marriage. How incredible it is that I can be literally sealed to the one person I love more than anyone.

I am so excited to finally go to the temple. I have been thinking about it so much lately, and it's crazy to me that things that have been mysteries my whole life will finally be revealed. I remember praying for my future husband as a little beehive. Praying for myself that I could deserve him. Now that I know him, I pray much harder. I am so blessed. I can't imagine why I deserve any of these blessings, but this day I just want anyone who is reading this to think of the beautiful marriages that surround you. The beautiful covenants that so many people share. I am grateful for the example of my parents. I am especially grateful for Rhett.

I am so proud to be a Latter-Day Saint. I am so happy that I know my Savior. I am so happy that I am worthy. I am so happy that I feel his love day by day, hour by hour. I am blessed. I am so blessed.

can you believe it?

Just a week ago I got engaged to the man of my dreams. It was the happiest day of my life and it has only gotten happier since. I love Rhett with my whole soul, and I cannot wait to spend every single day with him for the rest of eternity.
